On 3/17/08 Hi Sarah!
I wanted to let you know Echo did her first dressage show and placed 3rd with a score of 64.3!!!! The judge LOVED her, gave her an 8 on movement.
She is doing wonderful. I am just so thrilled w/ her.
We're going to another dressage show in 3 weeks and our goal is to do a horse trial this fall. We'll keep you posted.

3/16/08 - to his former owner Hi Kristen, Ebro is doing great. I've started getting him back in shape gradually now that the days are longer and I have more time to ride. We're doing lots of dressage/flat work to get back in shape. I always end by popping him over a couple of jumps b/c he seems to love it. He is worth his weight in gold! He was mister mellow after being ridden for the first time after 3 weeks of only turn-out. Everyone at the barn loves to watch him suck his tongue! I am leaving clinical medicine to work in research and development in a corporate setting, so we are moving back to our hometown Tucson, Arizona. I have found a very nice private hunter/jumper barn for Ebro. He will have a stall with a fan and still get daily turn-out (although turn-out in AZ is not quite the same as here b/c there's not much grass!). I'm working on arranging his shipping now. Right now I'm leaning on going with Nation-Wide Horse Transportation out of Colorado. He'll get a layover there on his trip. I thought I would ask you if you have a recommendation for another hauler. I might ask Chip also since that's his business. I''ve been grooming Ebro with lots of elbow grease lately to get rid of the winter fuzzies. I'll try to take some pics soon once he looks more presentable! -Mary | |
2009 show plans & other events Our boarders and students will be attending the Lake of the Woods, Oakland Heights & Four Oaks Farm hunter series. We will also be attending some of the shows at Culpeper and Lexington. We will be doing the CVSJA Jumper shows this year as well. We are pleased to announce that our farm family are going to join Bull Run Hunt for the 2009/10 hunt season. We will be scheduling trips to Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens for all boarders and students and for those old enough we will set up a day at the paintball range. Our barn trips to KD this summer and for the Scarefest were very fun and requests have been made to do it again! |
